My data is freely available thanks to garmin so I'm clean. We should set up an est group on strava. Not sure what you need to do to download data but if everyone is using some sort of gps it should work.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I use a Garmin Forerunner 405 so I get fully accurate data off mine like you're getting, which Garmin do you have mate?

I can't do anything tomorrow night as I'm off out with a bird but will be looking at doing a longer run Wednesday and possibly Thursday too if I can. Not going to get anywhere near what you guys are getting though, no chance.

I've got the 610 mate. Don't really use the heart rate monitor after being convinced I was about to keel over doing 400 metre sessions one night and I don't think I've ever used the virtual coach. I dig the stats though.

How'd you find the bezel on the 405? I know a few people really struggle with it but it always looked like a ****load of watch for the money?

I love it mate, the Bezel is actually very easy to use I find. If you haven't used it for a while you've got to stand there like a div in the cold waiting for it to pick up satellites, also the strap hurts a bit especially if you have skinny boney arms like I have!

It is good though, you can set it for duration, time, distance whatever you want. I just set it up for 20 minutes duration at the moment with auto lap so keeps track of everything, love it mate.

I only use it for running and that really and the last time I properly used it was for training for a 10k run. Haven't used the heart monitor yet!

Yeah, it looks a mega deal. I know a few people that complain that their tops knock the bezel when they are out but at that price I'd take the gamble. 410 looks a tidy watch too. I had a Nike Tomtom one previously which is an absolute piece of **** compared to the Garmin. Looks tidy but its all about the stats Every runner should have one

If you're wearing a top it does knock against it a bit as it's quite bulky, it doesn't affect the Bezel in any way as you need to long press it to use it anyway so touching it with a top won't do anything. I generally roll the sleeve down to the watch so that it's visible at all times.

Another thing is is that the 405 is getting old now so the software isn't that great and isn't going to improve either but it's still sufficient for my needs.

They are quality though I agree, the accuracy is amazing off GPS and it tracks your entire route, elevation, estimated calories burned the lot it's very clever. What's the 600 like then, is that a multi-sport one like a triathlon watch?

My mate had a forerunner, he's a triathlete does all kinds of **** like fell running and he was doing the Snowdon mountain race year before last it fell off when he was running down and he lost it! Gutted!

                            Wow, good start everyone

Off out again today. I'll be on 16.7km after today's run, so should be back in my rightful position of 2nd place

Oh and I loved the way Slinky casually dropped in the line about going on a date

I was going out this morning, but I have some sort of illness. Its not bad enough to keep me off work, but its bad enough to zap my energy

Got tomorrow off, so ill try and get out then instead. Its annoying when I cant stick to my plan.
