    Aye, nice chippy that! They own a place in Rhos on Sea as well but they're very expensive. They have a load of nice totty working in the Rhos one as well!!

    Ah that's a shame you couldn't do the walls, maybe next time you're there it's definitely worth a mooch and then finish off at the Quay for a quick scoop.

    There's a Conwy pirate weekend thing at the end of the June, it's a relatively new thing but a few of us are thinking of dressing up this year for a laugh. We're contemplating dressing up as Somali pirates, my brother's friend has a boat so we're going to rock up on the Quay in his boat in our Somali pirate outfits with fake machine guns!

    Perhaps not a good idea tbh, I can imagine it upsetting a few people. It's a mad weekend though, every ****er is dress as a pirate including little babies and that! lol

    And yes it's a lovely place for running, lots of nice places round here. Managed 4.26 miles today so happy with that but still don't feel quite right but I'm getting there.

        You'll get arrested for carrying immitation firearm. You'd be better going obviously fake with a super soaker! Just don't black up as part of the costume or you'll end up in court on multiple charges!

              A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                    Came off my bike last week and injured my neck Haven't been able to train for a week now. Might go into the gym and do some light leg work tonight. VERY LIGHT work. I'm due to go on honeymoon in 10 days and I don't want to be wrecked for it.

                    PaulG - As a starter you can do a lot with just your bodyweight.

                    Walking Lunges
                    Pressups
                    Planking
                    Squats

                    These 4 exercises using just your bodyweight will give you a good base to kick on...plus it'll shed a bit of the fat and build muscle instead.


                    Walking Lunges - this will work your legs and glutes and also partly your abs. Aim to do 3 sets of 15 walking lunges with a 30 second break between sets. Each lunge you should hold for 3-4 seconds

                    Pressups - will work your chest and shoulders. The further apart or closer together you have your hand position, will work different parts of your shoulders or chest. Aim to do 3 sets of 6-8 reps pressups. Do the first 3 reps at an average pace but the final 3-5 reps...do them slowly and squeeze the muscles as you do down and up.

                    Planking - great for abs and core body strength. Mix it up by checking out different plank methods such as bringing your leg up under your body and then back down into the straight plank again. This will do your abs wonders. Aim to do planks for 40-60 seconds three times.

                    Squats - squatting just below your knee level and holding for 3-4 seconds will work your legs, glutes(your butt) and lower back, mostly legs though. Aim to do 3 sets of 8-10 bodyweight squats.

                    This will give you a good basis to start off with

                    check youtube for videos of how to do the exercises with proper form. Doing them properly will give you faster results than trying to wing it and guessing how to do the exercises

                      This thread always gets bumped when I'm slacking at the gym, just to make me feel worse.

                        Went for some physio on it yesterday funnily enough. Its not much better, but the physio I saw yesterday seems to think the issue might be neck related. She did something to my neck and I was able to move a lot more freely almost straight away. Still a way off getting better, but I can start up with other stuff again now.

                          Aye, mine is taking it's time to heal too.

                          Joining Benedon tomorrow, so might look at some treatment when I get back from holiday.

                          Coincidentally my brother who I go to gym with has picked up the same injury too.
