Won't be a long one, only around 30 minutes or so.

What you aiming for with your marathon time? I've got a trail marathon coming up at the end of September so i've just been practising hills as it killed me last year!Originally posted by Rowan View PostAh that sucks mate. Next month! I've a couple of halfies in September but after that it's full steam ahead for marathon training
18- 20 milers every Sunday are going to be mega.
Didn't mind the Nimbus but I must do some weird toe curling when I run because I always rip through the fabric on the top of Asics trainers at about the 200 mile mark so can't justify the expense for something that I only get 2 month from. Pegs seem to last me ages. Thinking about trying hokos out for my next pair though. They look awesome
I've heard a lot of people say that about asics shoes in general, must just be made of a light weight material around the toe pocket.
Not hokas please no! They just look like they've got ankle roll written all over them?'The tide is very much in our court now.'

I've no idea, mate. My half time is 1.27, at least it was before I picked up the masses of injuries. I'd like to go sub 3:30 though. Does that sound do-able. No training plan or anything. I'm just going to start ramping up the mileage for my Sunday runs. Any ideas?
The idea is to be doing 50k by the end of next year and to have made the step up to 50 miles by mid 2016. No idea how do-able that is though.
What are trail marathons like? A ****er?A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Thats WAY doable!! Running 50 miles is not difficult it's just how your body adapts afterwards - ie you want to be able to get up and at least function. With most Ultras the cut offs are very doable so i think you could easily bring that target of 2016 forward. You do a lot more training then me and my fastest 50m is 9:37 - with your sort or training i think you'd easily smash that.Originally posted by Rowan View PostI've no idea, mate. What marathon are you going for? London? You just need to be wary of over training - there is such a thing believe it!
I've never done a road marathon so i haven't got a lot to compare but trail marathons make my calves scream they're a killer! Good views though!!!'The tide is very much in our court now.'
