      Haha. Cunts.

I did the Fierce workout. **** me

I swerved one of those exercises cos I couldn't do it ....burpees is it? I tried, but **** that.

So yeah I was ****ed at the end and woke up stiff as **** today. It was about 15-20 mins all told, and I can hardly walk today. Feel quite good about it though. Need to go again today

Give yourself a day off though, when your muscles are fatigued they're more susceptible to strains and tears etc. I'm not one for running personally but if you're desperate to exercise (!! ) then go for a light jog or something. I wouldn't, like
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Ha. Okay. Safe. I'll do it tomorrow

I'm eating like a pig though so feel the need to burn it off somehow. Might go for a bike ride.

              Given up already?.....

My training regime is 2 days training and 1 day off. I try to hold to this, but life sometimes gets in the way. Sometimes I train 3 days on the trot, but the 3rd day is tough...

Would it not be easier to just lose the flab through diet, and not worry about getting bigger whilst you're doing it? It's not possible for your average person to lose fat and retain 100% muscle whilst doing so, but I'd say that what little you did lose would be far more preferable to what you're about to put yourself through

                Unless you're actually that sick
I'm the right size (muscle size) now, I just need to lose the flab and get leaner to get the physique on show

I'm expecting to lose about 5-10% muscle size when shedding the fat so I've went OTT on the upperbody and leg size so that when I lose the 5-10% I'll be lean and well ripped without looking out of kilter with the rest of my physique. Just eating peoperly for the last few days and doing those brutal workouts has shed me 2lbs in 3 days so far

Anyway....I posted in the running thread very briefly in the summer cos I wanted to lose weight and get fit. Not long after I split up from my wife and moved into a pad on my own. Never lived on my own before. Anyway, I've lost three stone, just through stress and not eating properly (laziness mainly). It's ridiculous. Pre weight loss I was struggling to get into 34" waist jeans, had a gut etc. All that has gone and 32" jeans barely stay up. I'm too ****in skinny ....just wasting away. I'm gonna start eating better, but - cringe - I want to bulk up a bit. But no way am I going to a gym. I have no equipment, obviously.

Basically I just wanna put on a bit of bulk - my arms are suddenly like twigs

Is there any way I can tackle this from the comfort of my own home? Any exercises? I want to increase my biceps and shoulders and generally just bulk up and tone up.

You're never a muppet by wanting to make yourself better squire

Alongside exercises I'd suggest you also start to bulk up by eating better. It took me over 6 months before I actually let this phrase sink in and understand...Being in shape is 60% diet and 40% working out.

I put on size ok with training but as my diet was sh1te I still had flab over the muscle and I looked big but not "in good shape"

Eating more carbs (pasta, brown bread, etc) will give you excess fuel for working out and will add a bit of weight to you. Called "dirty bulking"

You can go the "clean bulk" way and be strict with carbs and protein but it's hard to get your head round if you're just starting out.

One thing you'll find is that after 2-3 months of doing exercise...you'll probably want to hit the gym and the weights and that's when you get to feel the natural high you get when you do weights. Your body releases endorphins which make give you a free natural buzz...

                  Mother nature free high
                  Cheers

                    This

After as little as a couple of weeks you'll begin to see the results, and that gives you such a buzz that you stick to it - its the first few weeks that are the hardest.

                        Cheers mate.

The whole pasta/brown bread thing sounds good to me.

My only concern with this eating more/carbs thing is that it'll just go on to my gut or love handles, which since August has just totally vanished. I guess the idea is to eat lots and burn it off?

                          Jeez

I'm hoping to achieve something out of this but still carry on with the nighly spliffs.

So if I carry on doing the workout Fierce posted before - about 15-20 mins a day, say 4-5 times a week, I should see some results sooner or later?

See this is when Subby and I disagree!

Bulking, with the intention of building muscle, is not something I'd recommend for anybody just starting out

As you said, idea being you eat more and burn it off. But you would need to work out a ****load more than you are doing for that to be relevant

In theory the extra carbs you consume get used as energy in the form of glycogen, which is the type of energy your muscles use. But if you're not lifting heavy enough weights to start utilising that glycogen, it is going to be stored as fat.

Although I personally have eaten very low carb for a couple of years now, a balanced diet is probably the best way to go. Your muscles grow because of the damage you do when you exert them. For now, bodyweight exercises will absolutely do that, hence the pain

If/when you decide that you want to go to the gym then eating more carbs than you normally would, combined with a program of lifting heavy weights would be a way to go

No reason to cut out doobs old hoss! Only thing it potentially affects is whether or not you can be arsed to work out the day after a bigger session

Once you can comfortably blitz through that then you'll need to mix it up a bit. Different routines for different days etc. But you will abso*******lutely see results
This is a kind of all round plan though, if a specific goal is to get bigger arms, then you'll need to target biceps as well, which none of that does
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
