    Update....

Just after hitting the 1000km mark. I had 12 days in Thailand doing my best to undo all of the good work Great for the legs, a much needed break.

Back from holiday and started walking again. A little different from before, as I have a habit of becoming obsessive (harder, faster, longer) with training and eventually hit the wall and just quit doing it completely. New training rules. Restrict my walking to 100km a week. Meaning when I reach the 100km mark, I stop training and go back to normal everyday walking

The first week I walked a total of 126 km. The second week 124 km and weighed in. Down 1kg, well pleased after a non stop partying holiday. 17kg off in total. Last week I walked 118 km and this week already over half my target km’s. My next weigh in is in 10 days....

Just wondering how Alex’s 6th attempt from couch sloth to 20k is going?

Badly. But I appreicate you asking to keep me honest.

I did 3 weeks of it. But my shoes feel apart, I went over on my ankle and I just never regained the momentum.

You have however made me think I need to get out there and make myself feel good about myself again. My MH has been poor recently, I have sat in and isolated myself more from the world.

Ill resolve to do more tonight.

This is the nudge I needed to force myself back into physical activity.

Dont notice Im doing these things until I actually say them out loud like this.

Once you've got the bug again it becomes easier though right? It's getting over that initial desire to **** it off. There's always a few bumps in the road, but you've got this

Bought a Shakti mat, used it 3 times so far. I'm not sure if it works yet but I'm definitely dropping off to sleep towards the end of a 20 minutes stint. It ****ing hurts though at the start

As my mountain bike is ****ed, I've taken to walking and hiking up a 200m high hill. Quite enjoying that and also beginners calisthenics.

Just been reading up on these after seeing your post.. intrigued! How much did yours cost? Did you get an official Shakti mat or a knock-off one

I got the official one but I reckon the Amazon knock offs are probably as effective. What Shakti say though is that theirs are made in an ethical factory with good work practices and fair salaries. That swayed me

Used it again this morning and whether real or not my back seems to be getting better. Could just be that it's getting better because I've stopped running

Cheers I ordered the official one. If it doesn't work its definitely your fault

                            I have a Garmin vivoactive 3 music.

Supports paypass, stores music, connects to headsets via Bluetooth. Cuts down the crap you need to carry.

And it's also a fairly smart looking watch.

Played my first post-lockdown 5 a side last night.

I say played, loosely. I've never been older, slower, and rarely less fit. Shambles.

I incurred the wrath of our football group's very own Angry Chris. He just about stopped short of calling me a vole c*nt though. The vole c*nt.
                              Oh I don't know.

I have the Galaxy Watch 2. My interest in a tech/fitness interface is fairly limited. It's bang on for running which is what I mainly use it for fitness wise. It's also waterproof.
