Are you missing the booze at all?
Nope, not at all. I'm a serious binger and could see it happening more frequently. Did up to March 11th last year (whichever date it was we went out of the CL) and I'd like to push it further. I don't look any better yet, skin is dreadful but there's other benefits that I am seeing and feeling.

To put in to perspective, I had a binge that started 10pm on Boxing Day (having not drunk on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day or most of Boxing Day) that lasted through to NYE and I've avoided thinking how much but it included half a bottle of whisky, a bottle of gin, 1lt of Baileys, 300ml of leftover vodka, a 500ml bottle of 26% pre-mixed Negroni, 4 bottles of wine and 10 330ml cans of beer. I managed my withdrawal from 29th and slowly reduced my intake until on NYE I only had a bottle of wine spread across the evening from 4pm onwards.

Unsure if I will ever trust myself to drink again, it follows a pattern and spirals out of control. Sorry to bring the mood down

Think what is put in perspective is the amount of willpower you are showing since then. That is baller levels of control and willpower with going cold turkey and taking exercise on board like you have.

You are still a ****ty arsed pleb though.

Hard to disagree with any of that

That's about 130 units I reckon, so average of just under a bottle of spirits a day

It's a psychological issue mainly, but mot one I'm in a hurry to revisit soon. My partner has carried on drinking so I get to pour drinks for her daily. Wednesday night I had a car crash, not my fault, and the associates grief but didn't think about having a drink for a single moment. It does feel like I've got a strong will but then I don't have to resist going daft in the first place

            Wow Norbrik well done you

Even just talking about it is a tough one, let alone going through it

Wow well done mate. Thats some come back & hope you stay off it. I went through giving up smoking years & years ago while the wife continued smoking for another 12-15 months. Wasn’t easy but she got the confidence to give up from me.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Cheers mate. My partner is showing signs of slowing down, I've stopped buying her wine so leave it up to her. She thinks (she's wrong) that booze helps her sleep.

In the meantime, think today's the 50 day point for me, half way to my 100 day target. Although, weight loss seems to be gaining traction, my appetite has subsided now that I'm not fueling the wrong things and I genuinely feel 10 years younger.

Down to 101.1kg, part ran up a 200m high hill, did a few zone 2 'runs' and a 12km trail run

Attempted colonoscopy yesterday. Followed all the bowel cleansing instructions from Tuesday, has this god awful moviprep stuff… failed due to me still full of ****. Literally.

I’m now in a world of pain due to the amount of air trapped in my system, still getting the after effects of the moviprep, and waiting for the sedation to clear my head.

                      Awful week

Also hitting a bit of a weight lose plateau and it’s gone really slowly these past 2/3 weeks. Just lost 2kg over the past month.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds a pretty miserable way to be.Hope things clear ( everywhere they need clearing) soon and you can get back on the path to feeling lees poorly than you must now.

Got a badge this afternoon for 300,000kg accumulative weight since mid December. I don't know if that's a lot but I'm averaging around 7,000kg in a 40 minute program

Never think of it in those terms. Think of it as your achievement and how that ever kg and minute adds to your well being and general health. Comparisons with others are rarely helpful early doors imo. Just focus on the being best you can be each session, do that and you are winning.

Imo you are smashing it on a few fronts. The physical front and the mental wellness one as well.

The latter one I reckon you are absolutely caning since after Boxing day.
