I thought the centrally contracted players were asked to stay with England during these things. Or not go out to the IPL. Players like Root, Ali, Broad and stuff never go to these leagues. It has to be to do with the ECB.

They are the Test players though aren't they? With the test matches it is not possible.

The one day specialists can do both.

You couldn't play Big Bash as we are normally on tour and the IPL tends to overlap the first test in the summer over here.

A few of those centrally contracted players shouldn't be near the one day team.

But yeah, some of them should be miles away. As much as I like James Anderson, he doesnt play 50 Over cricket apart from with England when he can be arsed. I dont see why someone like him still leads the attack.
