The optimist in me says we will avoid the follow on. Get to within 170 and then skittle them for 150. Leaving a nice run chase of 320 on the last day and a bit.

The pessimist in me says we will be made to follow on and itll all be over by Lunch/Tea whatever the **** they call it now tomorrow morning.

I think Overton has done well to steady it though, if Broad and him can keep frustrating and ticking the score board over we have a chance of a draw. Slim chance though.

I'm never sure with the follow on. Bowlers may need a rest. Add a couple of 100 on to the total and leave England demoralised with absolutely nothing to play for.

The England dressing room must be reeling, the Ashes have only been going a week and its almost as good as over.

(that said, the ball is swinging and Anderson has taken a wicket already...!)

Australia are showing England how top order batsmen need to perform in a tough test scenario.

Warner and Khawaja have been under intense pressure from Anderson in particular over the last hour or so, but they have played with caution and the bowlers are beginning to tire. Anderson has bowled 10 straight overs.

EDIT 1. though the point remains Anderson has just got the wicket of Khawaja whilst I typed that - Anderson has bowled really well deserves the wicket.
