Yes, I love how Novak almost states as a justification that he has subsequently had a long chat with Andy Murray and he now appreciates that what he said was wrong Novak might have the titles Andy has the maturity!

I read a rally interesting story with Novaks Dad. Apparently they are really great friends and it is only the rivalry that impacts their friendship. He also says that having watched both players since they were kids that the thing holding Murray back is his inability to control his emotion when things get tough.

A quick google: the two balls are the same in size and pressure, but*in most events, including Miami, men use extra-duty felt, which slows the overall speed, while women use regular-duty felt.

I see Murray lost to Djokovic in the final of the Madrid Open, though he did take a set and a few breaks from him, which is more than anyone else managed! Murray's game has improved massively on clay over the last 2 years.

I've also just heard that Murray has also announced he is splitting from Amelie Mauresmo. I wonder who he has in mind next? He needs someone to take him on to the next level (again). He is very close to Novak, but just cannot quite get the wins.

Serena Williams made herself ill after eating dog food hours before reaching the last eight of the Italian Open.

The world number one tried "a spoonful" of food meant for her dog, Chip, before beating fellow American Christina McHale in straight sets in Rome.

"I thought 'what the heck, I'm gonna try a piece, it looks good'," she said.

"Fast forward two hours, I just ran to the toilet like I thought I was going to pass out. It did taste weird. It tasted kind of like house cleaner."

In a video posted on Snapchat, Williams explained she sampled a dish of chicken and rice offered on a 'doggy menu' at her hotel.

"I force-swallowed it, said the 34-year-old American. "I don't know what they put in these dog foods, but Chip liked it.

"I don't think it's consumable for humans. They should have wrote that! So now I feel really sick. It was just a spoonful, but I don't feel so good."

Williams defeated McHale 7-6 (9-7) 6-1 and set up a meeting with Svetlana Kuznetsova, who beat fellow Russian Daria Gavrilova, in the last eight.
