Rio 2016 Olympics starts this weekend. London was pretty good with the mass of British medals so hopefully more of the same (especially if it means trouncing the Aussies again).

I'm normally pretty excited about the Olympics but this time around the whole thing just feels tainted.

Have you seen all the mental stuff (Other than the doping stuff) that the IOC and sponsors are demanding?

Things like the US team going out in the parade near the end to keep people watching, to corporate entities in America not being allowed to use the hashtags #Rio2016 and #TeamUSA

I'd not realised how great the time difference was for evening events/opening ceremony so it's pretty moot for us! I'm not staying up to 4am to watch it.

If you are looking for an entry point to get to the Olympics, its got to be waterpolo? It looks like fun, but doesn't look like there is too much tekkers involved. Just work on getting yourself a buff pool bod, and ensure you have the ability to know how to throw and catch and tread water. Looks more like a load of mates mucking about rather than an Olympic event.
