Road cycling is boring though. As is road running.

It's not really. It can favour a particular type of rider depending on the profile of the race, but it's very tactical and all revolves around the team.

Cycling is more interesting for long races like the tour de France, where there are different classifications for different type of riders.

It's a geek game.

This is the most Olympics I've watched for ages. Even more than London, probably because it's a few weeks later in the year. It's got that kinda LA '84 feel about it.

But I'm off to Edinburgh Festival tomorrow so that's the end of that for me.

You're missing out. It's been really good. But I guess the coverage is very British centric. So if you're of another nationality, you may well be disinterested in the coverage.

Duno if you've heard of Paul Currie but he plays Edinburgh/Glastonbury every year, a real got to be there person completely unfunny on video, not my usual bag but a shooting stars/daft comedy. A real glaso highlight for me each year, not sure how he'd translate in an indoor seating venue

gutted for her shes from round here, watched for develop for the past 15 years from primary school end of years athletics.Fancied her to do it this year, wouldn't be surprised to see that Belgian surpass her in 4 years time

She can't throw for ****. I don't know if she's carrying an injury but IMO she should be looking to employ a different coach to take her throwing up a notch. Surely there's plenty of strength development left for her at 23.
