From the ridiculous to the sublime, I remember the Belfry and Ryder Cups. Now lads are hitting 2 irons 300 yards

Still I find great joy watching someone so good just eat tough golf courses up. I was really surprised he didn't dominate at Oakmont tbh
He’s like Woods in that he never dwells, the old adage of one shot at a time and get the ball right side of the hole within 15/20 feet. His driving is ridiculous, irons are better and when his putting is good then there’s no stopping him.

Add in that he’s a “normal guy” and everything I read about him shows him to be very likeable (unlike Tiger) shows he’s got the full package. If he stays fit and keeps the same attitude he’ll def do a grand slam and get double digit majors

One other interesting side note was Bryson, he looked like he never played Links on Thursday and then shot a similar score to Scottie Fri-Sun.

I just don't understand how anyone with even a slight interest in golf cant be in awe of how good this guy is. He's unbelievably good. I just don't get the people saying he's boring. Watching him play is anything but boring - if you actually like golf.

He reminds me of an old baseball pitcher that I grew up idolising. Greg Maddux. People used to thing he was boring because he didnt throw 100mph fastballs etc and he looked like a nerd. But he was without a shadow of doubt one of the all time greats.

And what I really love about Scottie (other than the clinical ball striking) is his personality. Theres no massive dummy spits, he's not got an ego the size of the sun like some others, he's not a cocky prick, a grumpy prick or any other prick. It's not all about him, there's no big show. He just gets out there and hits the ball as well as anyone ever has. He just seems probably the most down to earth superstar sportsman ive ever seen tbh.

Rory was dropping them pretty much every time he pitched in to the green.
