After his initial great first impression (came on as sub v West Ham (?) and played like Keegan, total livewire, shooting from all parts)....I soon went off him and he pissed me off no end. However he's totally won me over, I love the bloke. Although I maintain he's no striker at this level. Stay out wide Dirk, cheers.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Rafael Benitez's Inter Agree Deal For Liverpool Forward Dirk Kuyt - Report
                Aug 20, 2010 8:07:00 AM

Inter have agreed a deal to take Dirk Kuyt from Liverpool to Serie A, according to a report from Dutch daily De Telegraaf.

The report claims that the move was agreed earlier this week and could go be concluded today.

Kuyt was omitted from Liverpool's Europa League win over Trabzonspor at Anfield, with Reds boss Roy Hodgson claiming that the Dutchman was being rested.

However, that omission means that Kuyt is not cup tied for European competition and it seems that he is heading for a reunion with former Liverpool manaber Rafael Benitez at the San Siro.

Benitez is a known admirer of Kuyt who has made little secret of his admiration for the hard-working and versatile Netherlands international.

Can't see that report being true. Hodgson clearly likes him. I can see him being almost as much of a certain starter under Hodgson as he was with Rafa.

I was there, and after watching him sprint about 50 yards to try and block a meaningless throw in West Ham had in their own half I knew I'd love him. (Reminded me of the Eric Meijer throw in story )

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I foolishly got my hopes up again that he'd stay once the links quietened down.

                          It's a cruel, cruel world.

Non story for me, lazy journalism. Dirk has a contract until 2013 so 3 years left and I'm sure he said recently he loves it here and wants to stay.

They would have to pay at least £15m to get him, also not sure he's technically suited to the slower Italian league.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

By the logic in that story. Stevie and the others that didnt play last night are on the way out.

No quotes or sources. Poor Lazy journalism.
