I'd rather have VILLA to be honest AA. Torres is a lazy fecker who hardly chases defenders. Villa works hard for the team and links up better than Torres.

To be fair IIRC I initially liked Torres but thought he didn't score enough goals and was a bit overrated. The reality is that he was quality but had gone stale and clearly has improved and thrived in a better side.

I did warm to the idea of signing him though, and recall making a post comparing him to Shearer - insofar as Nando was the same age as Shearer was when he moved from Southampton to Blackburn, and actually had a better goalscoring record.

Rafa spots the potential world class players and makes them such, rather than going out and buying your Ballacks, Decos etc. Look at the likes of Skrtel, Alonso, Reina...all bought for relative peanuts and now top class players. Even Arbeloa...who whilst he isn't world class was bought for a pittance and has become a top player.
