    Greatest goalscorer/finisher of the 1990s

    Bar none:

Left foot, right foot, header, tap-in, thunderbolt, cute finish from tight angle, composed slide past or under keeper...you name it, he did it.

    Sensational.

OK, but Fowler scored every type of goal and was better than Batistuta IMO.

Batistuta scored prolifically in the hardest league to score goals in, at the time. He also netted 56 times from 78 caps.

          He's a world renowned legend.

Fowler, as awesome as he was, never quite fulfilled his potential at the highest level IMO.

And, being LFC fans, we're gonna be a bit biased.

Ask 100 neutrals (who are old enough to have seen Batistuta in his pomp) and i think very few would pick Fowler.

I think you hoped/expected us to bring up Robbie Fowler in a thread like this DJS.
All i will say is they were/are unbelieavably good finishers however it's hard to seperate them as they played
              in different leagues.

Just for comparison, these are their respective records while at their most successful clubs:

Fowler: 120 goals in 236 games (7 from 26 for england)
Batistuta: 168 goals in 269 games (56 from 78 for argentina)

And as i said, Serie A during the 1990s was the truest measure of any goalscorer.

                  No i didnt marky.

Dont try and think outside the box, it doesnt really work mate.

Fowler never entered my head in truth. In all honesty, when thinking of a 'rival' for GB, the name that came to mind was Jurgen Klinsmann.

Stats mean nothing. Fowler was better - FACT.

Batiboy was a cheating fecker anyway. Typical Argie.

No point in me even discussing this really.

No chance of any objectivity from folk like yourself.
