He's a great manager - one of the best around at the moment. I don't know whether he's the kind of manager you'd bring in for a long-term rebuilding job - perhaps he wouldn't be interested in doing that sort of thing - but he's got a great record of getting teams to win things in a short period..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think this is the main reason - they know they can spend big this summer and want to bring back the attacking flair Capello was allergic to.Originally posted by DeeGame View PostPlus they dont like his defensive style of football"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Getafe clear Schuster for Real Madrid move
tribalfooball.com - June 28, 2007
Bernd Schuster is a step closer to landing the Real Madrid job after he was released from his Getafe contract yesterday.
Schuster reached an agreement with Getafe president Angel Torres to leave the club with a year remaining on his deal - and without the German having to pay any compensation.
Part of Schuster's deal included a clause which stated that he would owe Getafe £250,000 should he break the agreement. However, given their strong friendship and the opportunity for Schuster to go to Madrid, Torres was happy to wave the fee.
With Schuster set to be unveiled as new Real manager on Monday, his smooth departure from Getafe is expected to see the two clubs strike a collaboration agreement. Getafe's relationship with Real has deteriorated in recent years to the point where the Madrid giants simply wouldn't respond to requests about the availability of players.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So he's been sacked, unbelievable.
Takes Madrid to their first title since 2003 and he gets sacked.
Last manager to bring them the title was Del Bosque and they sacked him too."The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."

its now on SSN: i hope they win fook all next season
Real Madrid have, as expected, sacked coach Fabio Capello.
The Spanish giants have decided to dispense with the services of Capello just 11 days after he guided them to the Primera Liga title.
Capello's future at Real has been the subject of conjecture for some time with his style of management not winning favour with the club's fans and board.
Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic confirmed the club's board decided to axe Capello after lengthy discussions about the future at El Santiago Bernabeu.
"We have taken the decision not to continue with Fabio Capello next season," said Mijatovic.
"It was a difficult decision, but it was a unanimous decision based on an exhaustive report I made to the board.
"We don't think Fabio Capello is the right person to lead Real Madrid into the future given what we want this club to achieve.
"Now we have time to think over who will be the next coach of the club.
"I haven't managed to talk it over with him personally because he is on holiday at the moment, but I did manage to speak to his son who is also his lawyer."
The move clears the way for Getafe manager Bernd Schuster to succeed Capello in the Spanish capital.“At a football club, there’s a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques”. Bill Shankly

With Capello its a case of having your cake and eating it...its not enough that they won the league which they hadnt done in ages but because it wasnt done in the right manner...thats poor. Plus I wonder if Capello had a bad relationship with Predrag Mijatovic as it seems the decision was partly based on report he wrote according to the BeebQuit your jibber jabber!!!
Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

Mijatovic is supposed to have recommended him in the first place.Originally posted by saveferris View PostWith Capello its a case of having your cake and eating it...its not enough that they won the league which they hadnt done in ages but because it wasnt done in the right manner...thats poor. It's all political games. Who gives a sh*t why anyway - they've got rid of a top class manager for no discernible reason. Maybe Schuster will come in and be an improvement but it's a big risk IMO.
Clowns..
