Seriously wtf?
This was about Celtic not being able to control their soap dodging fans. Not about Dida's theatrics.
spud_gun, you should take it easy, that chip seems to be weighing very heavily on yer shoulder mate

Dida is a ****house.
Spud Gun the fan hardly struck him he merely tapped his head on the way past as if to say 'unlucky son'. The fan has rightly been banned and Celtic have been given a fine. I think that's pretty fair if you ask me.
Dida on the other hand is a grade A **** and should have got longer.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

**** off spudtard!! You'd have to have ****ing walls up to stop ALL supporters from getting on the pitch. It's easy for 1 or a handful of supporters to go on the pitch at ANY and EVERY ground. So it's not Celtic's inadequacies. Dole my arse!
Dida should be hit with a harder punishment than Celtic. The fan got what he deserved. Not Celtic's fault.

You even been to Parkhead on match day?Originally posted by Jan Molby View Post
Nice eloquent post there.
Seriously if say a scum fan ran onto the pitch at OT and appeared in any way to lash out at one of our players this board would be alight with indignation.
The issue here is the fact that a soap dodging Celtic fan was in a position to lash out at an opposing player. Not Didas reaction.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostNot wanting to split hairs with you John but what the fan did was by the lawful definition assault.
Granted Dida's reaction was totally OTT.
I'd have closed Parkhead for a game and given Dida a two match suspended sentence.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostYeah Celtic got fined but without their lax security this incident would not have happened. Milan have been severely punished where as Celtic have gotten of relatively lightly.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostI'd be ****ing raging if i were Milan. If it's not Celtics fault then why did UEFA fine them?

You can't criticise UEFA for their punishment of Dida and then use their punishment of Celtic as proof of wrongdoing.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostIf it's not Celtics fault then why did UEFA fine them?
Well, actually you could but that would be hypocritical..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
