          Why is no one mentioning the penalty we should have had when it was 1-0 and before Italy got there offside goal???? To all the people that aren't Scottish and supported us thank you. To all the people who are English and just came on here to have there little bitter digs at us go back to your little council house and have sex with your sisters. I don't think that any Scot on here has posted in a English match thread??? So why you post in ours???? On the whole the Italians deserved to win so fair play to them.
          I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

                What about the pen we should have had at 1-0 before any of that?????? Also wouldv'e you liked it if after Athens if the Mancs, Bitters and the chav's came on here and tried to wind you up??????????????????? No, so don't do it.

                        Can we dampen the hostility a bit here folks? It's Saturday night and we're all on the internet, no abuse any of us could throw is capable of topping that sad fact.

                        Really wanted Scotland to win today but it wasn't to be. I think a draw would've been a fairer result on balance of play but am I right in saying it more or less had to be a win for them to qualify? Scotland need to build on this and improve, keep the same team ethic and patterns, plus freshen the squad a little bit where possible to make this qualifying campaign be seen as step one of some real lasting progress rather than a one off opportunity missed.

                          Hopefully Naismith, Charlie Adam and the likes are ready in a year or two but we really need someone with a bit of pace at the back. Luca Toni looked as fast as Linford Christie today and he's ****ing pedestrian.

                          Sad way to end it today. A draw would have meant that France would have to avoid defeat on Wednesday to qualify. We let ourselves down in Georgia last month.

                          Hopefully this is the start of something positive for us rather than the end of a monumental effort. We have to keep big Eck in charge though but I worry that he'll decide to move on now.
