II don't think it's a laughing matter myself really, unless of course the poeple posting are italians or fans of italy. If LFC got knocked out of something and someone came here on the windup he be crucified, for the scottish supporters it's the same thing.

I'm scouse, and I think I wanted to see Scotland go through more than England, they've done a really good job considering the group the got and I think they deserved it more, than England. The unfortunate thing is it looks like the roles will be reversed if the russia match stays as it is

England fans on here and indeed anything connected with International English football REGULARLY take a disproportionate amount of abuse and banter. Even when they're not playing.

Why is it OK to be an England-hater but it's not OK to be a Scotland/Ireland/Wales hater.

In fairness, Italian football is dodgy as ****. When your top clubs are bribing officials and involving prominent political figures in conspiracies to manipulate results etc. you pretty much have to accept that.

In fairness, would the premier league have cleared house and relegated someone of the status of Juve? Probably not.

We didn't deserve to lose but I don't think we deserved to win either. That free-kick was a joke though.

In fairness, would the premier league have cleared house and relegated someone of the status of Juve? Probably not.

I should really hope so. And would then hope that they didn't gradually reduce the penalty TWICE thereby allowing the team to re-emerge a couple of seasons later pretty much intact.

Plus, that really isn't the point for me. The crux is that the two most prestigious clubs in the country were both found to be involved in some pretty underhand, undignified dealings, with the President no less. But to be fair I really don't want to enter into any political debate, it was just a passing observation really. Italy is a beautiful country and probably the one I have most enjoyed visiting (but ya team are cheating *******s!!! )

It's true though. Don't like it? Don't read it. People are entitled to their opinios and I thinks it's clear what most people opinions are on the Italian team.

I would call diving, pushing players instead of tackling, waving fake cards and constantly trying to get things from the ref they don't deserve cheating, no?

The ref should be stronger but I think it's fair to say that the Italians have been at it for years and are notorious for being cheats.

I think that is a pretty imbalanced comparison. I take your point, and the FA are a shambles of an organisation, but if you are trying to equate the 2 situations (which, in fairness, wasn't what I alluded to anyway so much as the decisions made by teams to bribe) then I think you are a fair way off the mark.
