We've got our act together.Originally posted by Maestro View PostSame in Scotland....
But it took the Berti Vogts era - which basically translates as rock bottom - before things changed.
If tonight isn't rock bottom for England then I don't know what is. And if it isn't, what will it take?
But it really is very amusing.

Fine head of hair thoughOriginally posted by kurtangle01 View PostThat is so true.
McLaren's been over promoted and was never good enough to manage that team.
His tactics are as bland and flat as his personality.
His Boro team was absolute ****e, complete ****e, he did nothing to warrant getting that job yet there he was.

I'm still laughing at John Motson's use of probably the three most desperate words in the English language:

The FA were put under ridiculous pressure by the idiot media to appoint an Englishman and after their first choice Scholari turned them down they caved in.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostThat is so true.

I bet they wish that they hadn't ****ed up the Scolari deal at the 11th hour. That was Barwicks fault aswell.
Which other Englishman could they appoint? McLaren was the most successful.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

Well that was just awful.
The way England have played for the last few years, didn't leave me overly confident.
At least Eriksson had some idea, the football was dull and boring he was an astute manager.
McLaren on the other hand is just awful, and I don't think it helped many of the players when they in essence don't have a game plan.
Yes England were emissing some key players, but there are more than enough decent players to fill in.
McLaren must be quietly thinking of how his mistreatment of Carra may have come back to haunt him.....he would have been perfect for this game!
The only England player who looked anything near international quality was Crouch, and if Gerrard had a bad game then then i think most others were just absolutely useless (none more so than Bridge and Carson).
The thing is McLaren won't resign and England will continue to be nothing more than a boring and predictable team, that actually has loads of ability and potential.
If McLaren does end up going they'll need to think very carefully about their next coach, coz there are no English managers good enough....perhaps Houllier or Maureen?Last edited by fowlen; 21-11-07, 11:11 PM.

But a foreigner is probably what they need.
Scolari was perfect. Shame they ****ed it up.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--
