    That is tragic.

Guy needs to be sectioned as he appears to be a risk to himself.

Might sound harsh to say but he has been helped many times with a lot of people giving money to pay for numerous attempts at rehab and the same old story plays out time after time despite that help.

The guy has to want to make it for a voluntary rehab to work, and he seemingly has never shown that "want" for any real duration.

If he is not to turn into some "Found dead in alley/hotel/park" type headline, then the choice has to be taken out of his own hands and he needs to be put into care. It does not sound a nice thing to do, but if it means the difference between dying and being able to possibly live a normal life then taking matters out of his hands would be a good call imho.

The real tragedy is that there are thousands and thousands of people in Britain, Ireland and beyond that are in this sort of state and who just slip deeper and deeper into the mire with no chance of getting the sort of help that Gazza has already received.

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Well said pal. His problems seem to be so deep rooted that you would worry if he can ever overcome them. I wonder if Gazza had experienced any happiness since he stopped playing. God love him.

Said the same to some mates today regarding Gazza being sectioned, it's getting to the point when the inevitable headlines hit about his untimely death people won't even be surprised.

My friends brother is an alcoholic, not long ago he was ordering huge quantities of sleeping tablets and anti-depressants online and taking some dangerous cocktails of drink and drugs and had convinced himself that he would eventually drink himself to death, luckily his family rallied around him, gave him a reason to want to be alive and he's on the slow path to getting some kind of normality back in his life that doesn't just revolve around where his next drink is coming from.

Such a sad state of affairs and I truly hope Gazza can somehow manage to turn his life around.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

              Really sad to see

The guy really needs help and support.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It is sad and he does need support however there are loads of alcoholics that also need help and don't get a fraction of the help that's been put his way.

You know sometimes, if a person finds life such a struggle, the final end is actually a better solution for them than continuing to endure the way life is now for them. Yeah we are all horrified by the pictures, but in a few days we forget, yet this poor ******* has to carry on day by day. It's no life. It's not living, it's not even surviving, it's existing.
