    Heart felt Thank You.

Just a short hello and thanks for the warm welcome I received here on the few posts i've put on so far.
Thanks Reece and V for your comments and I look forward to spending the season on your board here. I did it a few years back on the Middlesbrough board, (Having moved north, I live 25 miles from there) and made some good friends and the occassional enemy. Great fun though.
I think it's great to see another teams fans going through the season and I am looking forward particularly to this one. I think there's something special happening at Anfield this season. Just a hunch.

    Anyway,
    Thanks again
    UP the yids!

This board's experiences with supporters of other clubs leads me to be slightly suspicious.......this seems too good to be true. I've always wanted a regular poster from another club on here - a genuine one rather than those ****tish WUMs. Good to have you on board anyway.

And for what it's worth I always had a little bit of a soft spot for Spurs.

Glenn Hoddle was my favourite non-LFC player growing up in the 80s, followed by Gascoigne. Me Dad was given a signed Spurs football in the 80s and gave it to me. Names on it included Clem, Hoddle, Mark Falco, Graham Roberts, Tony Galvin , Ardiles, Perryman etc etc.

I also sat in the Paxton Road end (? North Stand lower?) a few seasons back with my Spurs mate. I intended to stay silent and still but blew my cover after about two minutes when Owen fired just wide right in front of us. I thought I was gonna get slaughtered but the Spurs fans around me were top class - great banter. We lost 2-1 - ****ing Postiga scored after I'd spent the journey down slagging him off - Kewell scored for us. In fact if I remember rightly Robbie Keane put Spurs in front with a penalty.

Just found the teams from the game I mentioned above. It was January 2004. Amazing how much both teams have changed since then.

Tottenham: Keller, Carr, Doherty, Gardner, Taricco, Brown, Anderton, Dalmat (Jackson 45), Davies, Postiga (Zamora 78), Keane.

Subs not used: Hirschfeld, Bunjevcevic, Kelly.
                Booked: Carr.

Liverpool: Jones, Henchoz, Hyypia, Biscan (Finnan 66), Traore (Riise 61), Murphy, Hamann, Kewell, Cheyrou, Heskey, Owen.

Subs not used: Dudek, Le Tallec, Carragher.

Welcome Sisterstiffticket, I hope you enjoy it here. It is a pleasure to have a rival supporter genuinely interesting in debate on the site.

Thanks Shaggy....and for what it's worth, one of my perceived greatest injustices in the world of football is that having won the European Cup FIVE times, not one of your managers has been knighted.
Manure win it twice...well, once and were the beneficiaries of Bayerns arrogance on the other occassion, and yet both times, their bloody managers have been knighted. Yet you lot did it when....well, I won't go on.
I grew up watching Highway, Keegan and Toshack etc. I laughed from a caravan in Clacton the day I saw you paid £444,000 or whatever for some scottish geezer called Dalgleish! Ha ha I thought. Keegan has gone now. They won't replace him!

I also remember once...way back, I took a girlfriend to see us play you lot at the lane. 20 mins gone and it read
                          TOTTENHAM 3 - 0 LIVERPOOL.
                          Ended that way too.
                          Wembley...1 - 0 up in LCF before losing 3 - 1...
                          The list goes on.

No doubt more memories will emerge during the season.

And of the top four...you are the only ones who remotely resemble the club that has kept its identity.

Anyway...enough niceties....Just wait 'til the yids come to Anfield.

                          We'll slaughter you lot 1 - 1!

I was at Wembley for that 3-1 win, Ronnie Whelan had a stormer

best memories of spurs (certainly not the time I got legged round the streets and took refuge in some kind souls house)

lol...Hey Tufty. As a gang in the mid 70's, we went everywhere. (Well, except europe of course, cos we were ****) and I remember a trip to Anfield. Arriving at Lime Street, we got run and lost Dave. Met him after the game on the train. He spent the entire afternoon under a lorry in a car park. Didn't come out until 10 mins before the train went!
                              Kids eh?
