    He's not wrong

"Liverpool are a different kettle of fish"

    Take note spurs fans.

Spurs obsession with us is embarrassing. Levy must be livid that we are at the summit of the league with three games left, something he obviously thought they'd be in this position after their summer spend. Whoever they put in Sherwoods place is going to have a difficult job with the expectations and delusions of grandeur
      Go **** yourself

I think one thing is for sure. Its going to be a good while before any decent player picks spurs over us again.

It's amusing how close they were behind us before they sacked AVB. Clueless clowns.

Fantastic achievement in guiding Ajax to 4 titles in a row.

That being said the Dutch league is only a rung or two above the SPL in terms of competitiveness.

If appointed it'd be interesting to see if Baldini remains in a job and how much money he, de Boer, has to spend on new players.

                  De Boer and LVG?

The Ajax coach Frank de Boer has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur have approached the Amsterdam club to test his interest in coaching the club.

In an interview with the national broadcaster NOS on Tuesday, De Boer said he had been informed of Tottenham's call by the Ajax football director, Marc Overmars.

De Boer added that until the season ends next week, he is concerned only with Ajax, who clinched a fourth consecutive Eredivisie title on Sunday. Then, he will be willing to entertain the possibility of a change, though the 43-year-old coach said he is satisfied at Ajax, his first major coaching job.

"I'm going to listen and talk," he said. "Then I'll make my feelings known. I want to add something to a club, so that people can say that they see the hand of Frank de Boer. Liverpool are a good example of this with Brendan Rodgers."

The current Spurs manager Tim Sherwood had criticised those "touting" for his job after the weekend win over Stoke. "At every press conference at our training centre, it was 'you're keeping the seat warm for someone else'. Yeah, I am but the seat's getting quite hot," Sherwood said.

"Every press conference I do it's 'this manager's coming in … [Louis] Van Gaal … then [Glenn] Hoddle, this facking one and that facking one.' Some of these cunts are actually touting themselves for my job. I don't think that's right. It's something that doesn't sit well with me.

"If anyone ever asks me about another job I just tell them that they've got another manager. Until they haven't got a manager and until I haven't got a job, say nothing."

He is a very interesting manager and one you'd fancy would do well wherever he goes next. Would he want to work with Levy though?

                          More from Dim Tim.

'When clubs come out - and managers too - it’s disappointing. Somewhere along the line someone is telling porkies.

'We’ll see where the discussions at the end of the season take us. It’s a difficult time when there are outside distractions but I have to concentrate on the job in hand.

'My office is on the field. I think it’s gone reasonably well for me in the Premier League but we’ll just have to wait and see.'

Another nugget from him last night:

"If we did better at the start of the season we'd be in a higher position now" - No **** sherlock, if you did better earlier in the season you wouldn't be manager. AVB would.

                            Doh!

I haven't checked but I'd guess his poor run was probably the worst they've done all season, around Christmas they were close to top 4.
