This week, I'm going to watch York City v Mansfield Town at Bootham Crescent.
I will be standing up behind the goal, I will hear the rasping of the ball sliding down the net under the four pylon floodlights and, if I'm very lucky....it will be raining.

Now THAT'S the game I know and love.

I went to see my local team on Saturday. We got in for less than a tenner, had some beers, stood behind the goal and had some great banter with the away fans.....and we go beat 5-0! But it felt like real football.

Maybe I getting old but don't know what the **** is happening to top flight football anymore, but it no longer resembles the game I grew up watching.

Don't regret it lads...at least Liverpool have their dignity and a certain amount of integrity. That's why out of the top four, the whole country wants you lot to win the league.
You still are not one of these corporate clubs. You are hanging in there.
The images of Shankly, Keegan & Toshack, The Kop in full voice on european cup nights...that sea of red pouring forward and the memories your club has given to millions like me. It's all still there. Don't wish it away too quick. Liverpool have something precious the other three don't have. A history they haven't sold down the river.



Be careful what you wish for...you might just get it.

If Dubai took over us and we won the league, it'd probably feel very slightly hollow.

I've spent my entire life watching the mancs lifting the title, so I genuinely don't think I'd give a **** to be honest.
