Apparently Zaki is rated by UEFA as 'the number one striker in the world' or something.

Very useful player, i wonder if there'll be a scramble for him from some bigger clubs at the end of the season.
I'm hoping, if Wigan does well and he enjoys himself there, he'd be willing to play for them if they offer a contract...although i wouldn't mind seeing him in a red shirt...he'd offer something definitely!!

Work rate of Kuyt, plus HE gets goals.

I think he's quality, i think his loan deal is for the whole season and i think there'll be a lot of good clubs in for him next summer.

the most important thing tho, does Rashid rate him?

I'd like to see him do it over the most part of the season but he looks a monster. I love watching him play and I bet he's a cult hero already at Wigan. Scored some crackers this season. Him and Heskey (when he's 'on it') are a right ****ing handful.

This lad is a prime example of why Kuyt's workrate with no goal threat isnt good enough.

So would Kuyt if played up front. But as we have Torres and Keane filling that one position...literally sometimes...and no one capable of taking the right sided place away from Kuyt (maybe Kuyt is better than some people seem to think?) then yes, Zaki will get more goals.

Kuyt played up front in his first season, he got 12 league goals.

                      Not prolific.

I bet Zaki gets more than that - and playing for a side who create a fraction of the number of chances we do.

Zaki plays up front...Kuyt plays out wide right..and still offers a goal threat, and an ability to drag players left right and centre...how bout you support the player, rather than try and belittle him, cos one thing is certain, Rafa rates him and he's going to be playing a majority of our games, whether that appeases you and others or not.

He may, he may not...but we've already seen that Kuyt when played up front this season is offering a good option.

And Wigan create plenty of chances, using route one football...it ain't pretty, but for them it sure is effective.

I'm not belittling anyone, i'm stating an opinion that Kuyt isnt good enough for us and i'm entitled to express my opinion, whether you like it or not.

Offering a good option is subjective. Goals are definitive. I'd take a prolific regular goalscorer every day of the week.

Wigan will create their share of chances, but as i said, we create far far more. That's a fact.

yup. was a bad knee injury that ****ed him wasnt it? bw havent heard Hirsts name in a long time!

Zaki does look decent, bit slow, but defo a handful when he gets going and a very calm penalty taker.

A typical Rafa player. Hard worker and a good finisher to boot. We should look into bringing him next season.
