Came out of nowhere, was an absolute beast for about 6 months, then fell off the face of the planet again. Did he pump himself full of drugs for a few months or something? One of the more bizarre PL stories.

He was one of those players that got fined about a week's wages for every three paid. He ended up going back to his Egyptian club. Then some other **** premiership team or other got him back over and the same happened all over again.
