Apparently Wigan have first option. I wonder how much for.... and whether his club are looking at whether thay can get out of that agreement

Have to say good on Steve Bruce and Wigan for taking a punt on him. They should have gone the whole way and signed him.

Absolute beast of a centre forward. He's nto a diving cunt either, he gets on with it

Really impressed by this guy. He'd look pretty good next to Torres IMO.

He was a real handful today, his second goal was phenomenal. Wigan must wish they had signed him permanently, can't see them holding onto him now.

He's like a brick wall charging into you. Enjoying a great spell right now, no doubt.

He's built like a ****ing tank ain't he. See him when he swapped shirts with El Zhar today? Built like a wrestler.

I'd look like a (sumo) wrestler compared with El Zhar

I think he is very injury prone though......123 appearances since 2001, 75 goals in those games though and better than 1 in 2 for egypt over 48 games, 29 goals for egypt.

pretty impressive stats. He does know where the goal is but apparently heard of a couple of people that he doesnt look that good when you see him on the pitch?
doesnt make the best of runs etc.

Untill a player with 'potential' plays for a top side, with the expectancy and pressure to win every game, it's hard to truly judge players like this imo.

That is one thing you must give Bruce credit for. He is excellent in the transfer market.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He has been Fifa best rated Striker in the world for some time now and been in the top 5 for many years yet no-one took a chance on him. I was always impressed with him but not sure he would of had the pace to hack it in the prem. Natural goal-machine tho isnt he? Super player
