This is Barcelona - they should be favourites to win the European Cup.

Milan leading against The Violets 1-0. Pato getting his third in two games. His eighth of the season. Massive protests all over the San Siro with plenty of Kaka signs. Second half about to kick off.

        FT - Milan 1-0 Fiorentina.

Santana had a good chance in the second half. Zambrotta was awesome. England's quarterback David Beckham had a horrendous game. Kaka tried so much to get a goal - all the fans were chanting to not sell him.

Barca were good but fact is that they came up against another poor team that would have been thumped by any of Englands top 4

The bottom half of La Liga is full of crap teams that don't know the first thing about defending as a unit which is why it is so easy for Barca and Madrid to walk all over them

Very few teams in Spain seem to know anything about defending.

On another note, I find Spanish football almost impossible to watch these days thanks to Sky's commentators' constant rimming of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Not so much the commentators - more the presenters and the biased nature of the bald, moronic vulture Graham Hunter.

Great match at San Mames between Bilbao and Valencia, two each. Goals from Villa and Morientes for the visitors and Gabilondo and Martinez with the respective equalisers. Second half under way.

Lazio vs Juventus in a quarter hour or so.

                      Team news:
Lazio: Carrizo, Lichtsteiner, Diakite, Rozenal, Radu, Dabo, Ledesma, Mehni, Rocchi, Pandev, Zarate.

Juventus: Manninger, De Ceglie, Legrotellie, Mellberg, Molinaro, Marcionni, Sissoko, Zanetti, Nedved, Del Piero, Amauri.

Good news for Juventus: Poulsen and Tiago are back in full training. Trezeguet and Buffon are close to making their way back.

Almeria - Atletico after the Bilbao - Valencia game. Atletico playing pretty much their strongest side without the suspended Maniche.

If French football is your thing, Lille vs Rennes should be starting at 8.

It ended 3-2 to Bilbao with Llorente getting the winner in the last minute.

Almeria 1-1 Atletico. Uche for the home side after six minutes and Pongolle equalising after twenty two.

Five minutes into the second half at the Olimpico. 1-1. Ledesma after poor goalkeeping from Manninger and Mellberg bulleting a header from a corner to cancel the Lazio goal.
