Its the same thing as when he left us,he never said he wanted to go to try and win things elsewhere which is why there's such resentment toward him.

IMO the only thing he owes Newcastle is honesty.
All he's doing is waiting til January, when he can talk to other clubs and see what's on the table. Then he'll decide. As Jamie Redknapp said yesterday, if he gets a better offer, he'll go. If not, he'll just have to stay.

It doesnt fill anyone's heart with warmth, obviously and it's not particularly nice either, but it's football mate.

Clubs release players they dont want anymore at the end of their contracts, and nobody gives a **** about that. This is just the other way round. It works both ways.

He said he won't make a decision til the summer. What I'm saying is it dosen't take 6 months to decide if the contract already offered to him is good enough so its obvious to everyone he's waiting to see what offers come in.IMO he should just come out and say the "I love it here but I need to be at a club capable of winning things"

I think most people would respect him for that instead of alot of people currently thinking hes doing what he did to us all over again.

If he got any ambition left then he will leave.

Why stay if you want to win things and play for England? At least this time the club know that he won't make a decision until the summer.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I don't think that playing for Newcastle is hurting his chances to be honest (look at Heskey for example). Capello will not pick him IMO until he has had a pretty much injury free season. I strongly suspect that means he will not play for England again, at least under Capello.

He will certainly be looking to go somewhere to win things though I would have thought. Not sure he will have many options though unless he is willing to go to Italy.
