To be honest, the only time I have seen Yan Diomande play is at these world cups, and I've not seen the reason for the hype yet. I've especially not seen a reason for a £100m price tag. I know he's playing in a weaker side, but he hasn't stood out as better than his team-mates.

Barcola on the other hand has looked on a par with the players around him in the French team, a much better talent. So why would PSG want to sign Diomande and risk Barcola wanting to leave? Unless Barcola's mind is already made up and they need a replacement?

I reckon their second XI would get to the 1/4 finals at least.

They are absolutely bettering everyone they have faced.

£100m is a lot to pay for potential. He looks decent but not seeing more than that yet.

            England

They're like alien visitations - I want to believe but common sense says - nah.
            Really?

Obviously, England’s defence is a steaming pile of dog****, but I’ve never seen a more negative, and seemingly scared winger as Madueke. He’s absolutely awful.

And then you wake up the next morning with an unexplainably sore arsehole...

Kane - that should never be a penalty - Kane clearly initiated the contact trying to win a pen.

                    No VAR?

Dragging your foot to make the contact happen shouldn't be considered as a pen. Right decision imo.

Alan Shearer really is an England - you know - fan. Like, Kane there just smacked the ball straight at the keeper at the end of the 2H. He didn't have much opportunity to do anything else, but Shearer makes out like it is a great strike. Not.

Finally, England score, but it's just papering over the cracks. Compare this team to France. I hope England don't have to play them any time soon.
I don't really care who the England manager is, but Tuchel is obviously not the right man for the job.

I know we've scored and things look a bit more palatable, but what do Maduake, Gordon, etc offer that Ngumoa couldn't. At least he is never scared to take on a player, the wide players we have on display can't beat their man at all.

Kane scores an absolute beauty there.

                                That really was a stunner.
