Think it was a penalty though. Can see the argument he was already tackling when the player stepped in front but it was a penalty

It's bizarre though. I agree, it probably was a penalty in the context of the rules, but in the absence of the challenge, I don't think that attacker was doing anything with it that might have resulted in a goal.
