Just mentioned in the Aussie sports thread. Two CB’s and one of them is only 18. Good on him for taking the responsibility, he’s got a massive future, but was it the senior players not wanting to take one or the coach picking him. Bright future with lots of talented young players at the moment so I’m excited about our future.

Get a more positive coach in who can build a team with the young players. Popovic has always been a negative manager, never like him as a coach in the A league and he lived off his reputation from his first couple of seasons as a coach, done very little since then.

For me it was inevitable but at least the team leave with their heads held high for getting out of the group stage, beating Turkey & a respectable draw with Egypt. Not sure I agree with changing GK’s for the PS though. Beach is in the zone so should stay on.

I didn't realise the Oz keeper was called Beach, so when the BBC flashed up a stat about his record entitled 'Perfect Beach' I was thinking - 'yeh, so Sydney or Melbourne, or Brisbane?'

On another note, I grew up recognising Ally McCoist as a magnificent striker. Jon Champion ( the commentator in the uk for ITV) I find is very disrespectful to him.
