    a couple of points:

    1. he would have come to us, we didnt want him so this is his best alternative option. a purely professional decision (yes its a cold one) on his part but i can totally see that. Man u are actually getting a liverpool reject tho which is another blow this pre-season.

    2. he's still a little cunt and has stuck the fingers up at lfc fans and erased any kind of positive memories from liverpool fans. i'd laugh if he breaks both legs in pre-season and never kicks a ball again frankly.

all in all, lets move on. treat him with the vitriol that we would any other manc **** for that is what he is.

I'm glad he is not a LFC player. The fact he used the transfer to united to try and get a move to LFC is just cuntish.

Emotional blackmail if you ask me

Good on ya Rafa telling the little prick to **** off. Owne must have been really pissed of to join Utd after being snubbed by Rafa.

Personally I would have hated to see him back at Anfield. ****ed us round twice before. Always put himself and England ahead of Liverpool. Will always be a cunt in my eyes! Hope both his hamstrings snap in his first game for the scum.

Would be funny if true though - Owen desperate to return and Rafa telling him to "**** off you little crock!"

I dont believe a word Owen or his advisors say, he and they lied consistently to the club and its supporters in 2004. If he truly wanted to be a Liverpool player he would be one now.

He took 18 months at a minimum to stall on his last contract talks with LFC, remember the 6 week delay while his agent was on holiday ? Remember how he told us that the reason for this 18 month delay was that this was the "most important contract " of his life, yet it took him just 4 days to make a deal with Real Madrid ?

I will bet anything that if LFC had offered him a deal and Utd offered him a better one he would still go to the scum.

I am a lot calmer about it now than I was in the last few days, but in my mind he was disloyal to the club and its supporters to a degree that will never be forgiven.

His business with the S** just further reinforces that he never had the best intrests of the club or its supporters at heart.

He is not worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Keegan, Kenny , Rush, Fowler etc. He was never worshipped the way those players were and still are. That is the true measure of his relationship with the supporters and the club. I hope he wasnt too upset with some of the boos and jeers he got when he returned to Anfied with the toon, because that is nothing compared to what he will face when he returns wearing the scum shirt.

I never rated him ... I have always felt at his peak he still had to have 10 players playing for him rather the other way around and thats when he was good. I too am over it .. but I really cant get over what a cunt he is .. players move to rivals sure ok but taking everything into account hes just a ****ing windbag .. every tackle that goes in hard on him next season I will up out of my seat

Souness can go and **** himself as well!!!

                    ----------------------------------------------------------

Former Newcastle manager Graeme Souness has tipped Michael Owen to rebuild his career after sealing a surprise move to champions Manchester United.

Souness brought Owen to St James' Park for £17million four years ago but the move turned sour for the England striker following a succession of injuries and the club's relegation at the end of last season.

Owen's stock in the game has never been lower and he has been frozen out of the England squad under Fabio Capello despite an impressive strike rate of 40 goals in 89 international appearances.

While doubts persists over the 29-year-old's fitness and the wisdom of the deal done by United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Souness believes his fellow Scot has pulled a masterstroke.

"I don't think Michael is shot. It's a really good transfer for all concerned," Souness told The People.

"I think the move will excite him and give him whole new lease of life

"He was Newcastle's top player at the time and all of that onus was on him. At United he will be just another player and surrounded by really good team-mates who can give him the service he needs.

"He will also be in the best environment in terms of treatment off the field and that is important to any player of his age."

Commenting on Ferguson's gamble, he added: "I think this is a smart deal for him. It's a clever one especially when there are not too many available targets out there.

"In fact this could easily be the deal of the season if it works out for him."

Souness was a great player for us but he is a complete tool. The man who started the destruction of LFC as a force in england. So these comments don't surprise me one bit.
