14.54 Sky Bet has revealed there has been a major plunge on Michael Owen joining Manchester United on a free transfer. His odds on moving to Old Trafford have been cut from 20/1 to 7/4, with Sky Bet's Mike Triffitt saying: "With Real Madrid hoovering up several high profile targets, United are running out of options to fill the void left by the departure of Ronaldo and Tevez and Owen is a cheap option. We've had a steady stream of bets on free agent Owen joining United today. A move to United should suit Owen, who wants to get back into the England squad and will feel he has a better chance with a higher profile club."
I was thinking more for Utd - I mean, they have 80m to spend and they should really be able to bring in someone of a higher quality tbh. Good news for us if the players they sign are all of teh calibre of Owen and Valencia.

Just text a few Manc mates with this news. One got back and was fair happy, providing little Mickey can stay fit. The other was foaming at the mouth saying this shows that no ambition on Manure's behalf and even said, "Fergie should be sacked" bless em
Ive said it before Owen will score goals, if this happens I see it as good news as Owen certainly isnt the player he was for us and it shows Man u are struggling to get better players. He will score goals for them though and will be seen as a success in the Larsson mould as hes free.
