14.54 Sky Bet has revealed there has been a major plunge on Michael Owen joining Manchester United on a free transfer. His odds on moving to Old Trafford have been cut from 20/1 to 7/4, with Sky Bet's Mike Triffitt saying: "With Real Madrid hoovering up several high profile targets, United are running out of options to fill the void left by the departure of Ronaldo and Tevez and Owen is a cheap option. Absoloute rubbish. I want Owen back, but the fact he is an ex academy player and has a great history here has a large part in that.

Without that I would not sign him. To many questions about injuries otherwise.

Ive said it before Owen will score goals, if this happens I see it as good news as Owen certainly isnt the player he was for us and it shows Man u are struggling to get better players. He will score goals for them though and will be seen as a success in the Larsson mould as hes free.
