Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Lescott is an absolute idiot or he simply took David Moyes for granted. Now he's in a spot of bother and I wonder how he'll get himself out of this hole.
He'll rot in the reserves and he's probably losing his place in the England squad for the world cup next year.

I dont believe what Hughes has said though. I think it's gamesmanship.Originally posted by fredo View PostLescott is an absolute idiot or he simply took David Moyes for granted. Now he's in a spot of bother and I wonder how he'll get himself out of this hole.

Still reckon Lescott will be a City player before the window closes.

Is the best thing for him at this point in time. Unless City spend £30m on him, I expect Moyes to make him rot in the reserves for 6 months and ship him out for £20m in January.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI dont believe what Hughes has said though. I think it's gamesmanship.

still interested.......
City have had two bids rejected for the Toffees' England central defender but are still keen to secure his services.
On Friday morning, it was reported that Hughes had revealed his decision to cease his pursuit of the 27-year-old after his managerial counterpart David Moyes slated his behaviour.
However, the City boss now says he has not in fact abandoned hope of a deal for Lescott.
"We are not at that point at this moment," said Hughes.
"When we feel there is nowhere else to go and it is not going to happen, then we will walk away.
"We do not think we are quite at that point as yet. Only time will tell."
Hughes is still in the market for fresh faces before the window closes. He said: "We are just trying to go about our business and bring good players to the club.
"We have been successful in that respect. Almost all the players we hoped to bring, we have been able to do.
"Some we have missed out on but that will always happen. That's a process you legislate for and make sure you have other targets.
"We have been quite active in the window but there is always speculation and I am sure that is not going to go away when it closes."_____________________________________

Everton boss David Moyes has admitted defeat in his attempts to keep Manchester City target Joleon Lescott.
The defender has been the subject of an intense chase from the Eastlands outfit, who saw their first two bids turned down, while the England international saw his transfer request rejected.
Lescott was included in the Toffees' line-up against his wishes for the 6-1 drubbing by Arsenal on the opening day of the season before being axed from the squad by Moyes for the disruptive effect he was having on the team.
And the Goodison Park boss feels he has been left with little option but to part company with the former Wolves player, although he remains bitter about City's approach for one of his key men.
Decision
Moyes said: "I would have preferred to keep the player. He's a good player and he can play two positions.
"I've been disappointed but I've had my say on how it's been and any more would be repeating what I've said.
"You could see the effect that it had last week. It's played a big part behind the scenes.
"Joleon had told me on the Friday (before the 6-1 home defeat by Arsenal) that he didn't want to play but I had no options so I chose to play him but it worked against me. So, I've taken the decision.
"It's been difficult because Joleon's attitude has been so poor. We'd rather have him playing but if a player is going to behave in the manner he did, we had not choice but to keep him away."
