we shall see........i fully expect this to be challenged and reduced to a 3 month transfer embargo so they can sign people next windowOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostIt's about some kind of breach of transfer contract - it was just on SSN now, they've just gone to a break but i'm sure this will be discussed all afternoon, so if you're near a tv, put SSN on.
They wont be able to sign anyone until January 2011._____________________________________

Breaking News - Chelsea Hit With Transfer Ban?
FIFA appear to have hit Chelsea with an unheard of transfer ban, after ruling the club incited youngster Gael Kakuta to breach his contract with Lens.
The world governing body have stated on their website that,
'A restriction of four months on his (Kakuta's) eligibility to play in official matches has been imposed on Kakuta. Chelsea are banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, for the two next entire and consecutive registration periods following the notification of the present decision.'
Lens had complained to FIFA seeking compensation from Chelsea and demanding further sanctions against the player and the English club.
And it appears that FIFA have ruled in the French club's favour, deeming the player to have breached his contract with Lens and deeming Chelsea at fault for inducing the player to break his contract.
Kakuta has been ordered to pay 780,000 euros in compensation to Lens, and has been banned for four months.
Chelsea have been ordered to pay Lens 130,000 euros in compensation, and appear to have been banned from any transfer activity during the January window, and next summer._____________________________________
