yep, i cant help but feel this is all wishful thinking and the ban will be lifted for sure.

How many times do we see it in this country and globally, association gives heavy punishment....club appeals and it gets lifted and this club has a rather rich oligarch at the helm who used to be able to make people dissapear easily and not in a david copperfield way!!

although would be great if platini went missing

          BREAKING NEWS....

In the light of todays big news, Chelsea FC have pulled off a major transfer coup and have tapped into one of the biggest goldmines in world football. They've found a gem in future Cameroon international and former room-mate of Samuel Eto'o.

Chelsea have agreed to sign the future star No'o Ne over the next 18 months.

          More to follow

Didn't Platini say the other day that Abramovich had asked him to help bring an end to big spending in football because he didn't want to have to continue spending big out his own pocket

Well, maybe this will help them to break even and be self sufficient in 2010

They'll just operate a buy now, register later policy, knda like furniture shopping...but in all honest, this own't hurt them at all, cos their current squad will last the time, and has enough depth to cope with injuries.

i don't think they have that big a squad to cope with the african nations cup, injurys and the loss of some players that want to leave(like carvalho, deco, etc), they'll have a fair bit of trouble.

How would that work? Players would sign for them without being able to be registered, and play?

If this is upheld, they're a bit ****ed. You might have players who'd wanna leave and chelsea would have to refuse to sell them. But then, if a contract is running down, players can go on a bosman.
