Just seen the stamp/kick by Adebayor on RvP - what a cunt. Really nasty scummy thing to do. I hope the FA view the footage and give him a very lengthy ban.

City had 7 shots, Arsenal had 17 and somehow City win 4-2.

        Adebayor is a cunt.

            Statement from Van Persie:

Robin van Persie has issued the following statement following an incident with Emmanuel Adebayor at Saturday's game:

"I am sad and disappointed by my former team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor's mindless and malicious stamp on me during today's match.

"We are both professional footballers and I know that the game is physical, I too have made hard and sometimes mis-timed challenges but never with the intention of hurting an opponent. He set out to hurt me today.

"I knew he was aiming for a collision because he changed the angle of his body to allow contact to be made. He moved backwards when his natural momentum would have taken him forward. I find that deeply disrespectful. He has shown a real lack of class today, to me and the fans.

"I do feel lucky that I have not suffered a greater injury. The contact was only centimetres from my eye. I have not received an apology from him, there were no words exchanged afterwards. He had his own agenda today and that is bad for football. It's bad for the game we all love.

"I want to make it clear that this has nothing to do with the result of today's match. We do not hide from that disappointment but I need to speak out about his behaviour."
I hope the FA throw the book at Adebayor. Scumbag.

As i said, if it's instinctive, that might be a different issue, but by the time he'd run 50 yards, it must've occurred to him exactly what he was doing. No excuses.

Of course, no bans will be issued for this kind of thing, until it becomes the third 'current 2 week fad' of football, after the 'respect' campaign and the 'diving is worse than killing someone' campaign we've just seen the end of.

He was in the press this morning slagging off Arsenal supporters for jeering him during last season aswell.

He seems to have forgotten that was on the back of 1. Him whoring himself to Barca and Milan in summer 08. 2. Him admitting he wouldnt be playing for Arsenal if it wasnt for the money and 3. Being a lazy ****. Way to endear yourself to the supporters eh?!

And thats without even mentioning his antics in todays game. If you want to pinpoint a footballer that makes supporters fall out of love with the game he'd have to be very high up the list, a complete gob****e.

Once the novelty has worn off at his new club he'll go back to being the lazy cunt he was last season.

The Dutch **** got what he deserved, he lunged with intent then got a kick in the face. I have no problem with that. Adebayor is such a **** player, yet he seemed like he cared against his former club, I hate players like that. Either make an effort or don't. I expect City to trail off into their natural top half of the table position as the season progresses.

He deserves the ban and No doubt he will get banned instantly thus meaning that him and tevez will probably both miss the manc derby. typical

I'd like to see Mark Hughes' face when he'll be sitting a 3 month ban for what he did in this match. Both for the stupid goal celebrations and the deliberate stamping on Van Persie.

The cunt will get at least a 3 game ban for the stamping, plus they will take the incitement into account, he could be facing up to 6 games out.
