It has to be Le Tiss really.

John Aldridge was one of our best ever. And in recent times I agree with Murphy. Gerrard's penalty taking has improved out of sight in recent years too, I never think he's going to miss any more.

People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

            With one glaring exception.

I always felt confident that Phil Neal was going to score, so it surprises me to find out that he missed 12 in all comps and scored 38. Molby missed 3 but scored 42.

I'd agree that Murphy was as good as anyone I've seen, though I remember ex-West Ham full back Ray Stewart scoring about a million penalties in his career, mainly by ****ting the ball as hard as he could and assuming that the keeper would choose to get out of the way. It generally worked.

If you could pick anyone to take that kick, be it a Champs League Final/World Cup Final who would it be... (not John Terry)

                    Gerrard
                    Lampard
                    Ronaldo
                    Shearer
                    Fowler
                    Ronaldhino

                    ???

What a horrible website that is.

Who was the West Ham bloke in the 70s and 80s that used to take them. He had dark hair if that helps.

He was awasome, never missed one I don't think.
                    Oh I don't know.

                        Le Tiss for me.

The man was a great penalty taker.

                              Ray Stewart.

                              Scored 76 out of 86.

                              I like this quote:

Ray himself says: 'I don't have the actual records but I missed five out of maybe around 70 penalties in my career'.

"He then goes on to say 'I say I missed five - but I scored with three of the rebounds so I don't count them'.
                              Another legend from my childhood.
                              Oh I don't know.
