While it does piss me off I think it's fair enough. If I was managing a team I would do whatever I thought would be best for my team. I'm not sure that this sort of thing is (see Sheffield United when hey went down).
I just wish we had been good enough in recent seasons that teams did it against us."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Pretty open to interpretation though that - it's not as if they have a youth team out. There have been so many instances where teams have fielded teams that weren't first choice that they would have a nightmare enforcing it.Originally posted by red g View PostSection E, rule 20 says: "In every league match each participating club shall field a full strength team."
To be honest it is a daft rule to have without sensible definitions and sensible definitions would be very hard to construct I suspect."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Yes, happens all the time, in the CL e.g., or Villa did it last season in the UEFA Cup. Nothing will happen. But the Dingles will lose their next match I predict.Originally posted by dww View PostPretty open to interpretation though that - it's not as if they have a youth team out. I see nothing wrong with this. McCarthey has a big game on the weekend where he needs to have his fit players ready and with the Christmas pile up arriving, he needs to chop and change. United would beat the Wolves team that faced Spurs at a canter, anyway.
Besides, it's not as if Liverpool are chasing for the title.

Yeah, the Wolves players will be knackered, what with all their European games and big carling cup run.Originally posted by Joe King View PostI see nothing wrong with this. Given they have a small-ish squad, it's in his players and McCarthy's own interests to protect them tonight.Originally posted by Chris View PostYeah, the Wolves players will be knackered, what with all their European games and big carling cup run.
Liverpool should be in a position of having to fight their own battles rather than having to rely on Wolves. WOLVES
