I can't decide if the highlight of his first half was the half won challenge or the marginally under hit through ball.

Can’t see the video in work, but I was encouraged watching the match at how much he got stuck in playing centrally. His tackling was terrible so your comment doesn’t surprise me, but it was good to see him stick the boot in.

Thought he seems more akin to Iniesta than Alonso.

and to take the conspiracy theory a step further...
do the spanish junior leagues implant the kids with the 'plan' that they will be sent out to other teams to gain experience, and once they reach a certain standard their homing chip will be 'activated'

I like Suso but imo If he's gonna make it it will be in Xabi/Pirlo deep lying playmaker type of a role.

I remember liking him to Xabi in his first season, Messi too the way he used to dribble with the ball.

I like the Iniesta comparison someone made on here though and think he could play a similar role.

Still think he can do a job out wide for us in the meantime. His biggest problem last year IMO was having Kelly behind him. I thought at the time he'd do much better with Johnson bombing on ahead of him and that seemed to work well for Spain in their first game when he played parts of the match there ahead of their attacking FB.

If he isn't going to see regular first team football here, I really hope we do send him on loan as I look forward to seeing him in regular first team action. Hope it's not in Greece though.
