We could've got him on loan.
We also could've got Benni McCarthey or James Beattie for next to nothing.
Both not great but they'd have knocked a few goals in for us.
I'm still totally amazed we only have Torres to carry the burden .
He's world class but has had injury problems and young N'gog, we couldn't have asked much more from his this season...he's exceeded our expectations but he's still a very young lad learning the game, hence shouldn't have so much responsibility so soon.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

As i've said neither are great but such is our shortage of strikers i'd certainly have took either or both - ideally we need two new strikers if you ask me.
To not even bring in one is crazy.

I think Robbie Keane could prove to be a good signing for Celtic. He'd be the big fish in a small pond.
Yeah i think with Celtic being his boyhood team, he'll hit the ground running
In all seriousness i always thought he'd end up at Celtic but now for another few years...
If he was to leave Spurs i assumed it was for either Sunderland or Villa - both long term admirers.

And being the Irish captain I can see Keane shirts flying off the shelfs - I have a friends who's a big Celtic head and when he heard this he nearly jizzed himself. Plans on getting the jersey at the weekend.
"Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane joins boyhood heroes Celtic on loan until the end of the season." from the beeb and also wearing the no. 7 ... deja vu?
Keane was delighted having been consistently linked with the club.
"The club is massive," he said. "I am a Celtic fan and did not have to ask much about it. I always wanted to play for Celtic and it works for all parties."
Keane, a lifelong Celtic fan, has made 25 appearances for Spurs this season but has recently been confined to the substitutes' bench.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp gave his blessing to the switch.. "He is a Celtic man so it's a dream come true for him," he said.
New Liverpool signing Robbie Keane admits it is a dream for him to sign for the Anfield outfit.
Keane, 28, signed from Tottenham on Monday in a deal worth £20.3m and says he always wanted to play for the Reds.
"I've been waiting for this day since I was a kid. I'm a massive fan, so to be sitting here in a Liverpool tracksuit is a dream come true," said Keane.
"I am so grateful just to be here. I love the club and this is the one dream I had still to achieve."
He added: "I always wanted to be a footballer as a kid, but also to play for Liverpool, maybe you never feel it is going to happen.
"Now I am enjoying every minute and I can't wait to pull on that red shirt. This is a massive club and I want to do everything I can to make them even more successful.
"The reasons I left Spurs are that I am a huge Liverpool fan and the chance to play for them may never come around again.
2011 - Keane joins Accrington Stanley
Newly promoted Accrington Stanley have signed Robbie Keane on loan after the Irishman failed to score during his 6 months at Celtic. "I hope now that I've joined my boyhood team that my fortunes will change. I've always followed the Accrington score since I can remember and dreamed of pulling on the Stanley shirt"
