I still find it ridiculous how nothing happens for weeks and then clubs go mad on the last day - why do they all leave it soooo last minute?

Its probably because all the players are now being sold through ebay - its only deals that have a 'buy it now' price that go beforehand, everything else is set to expire on transfer deadline day.
