Not his decision, not told about it before we agreed to loan him out. FFS.
We (the fans) can't really complain about player loyalty, respecting contracts etc when the club are quite happily going about their business in this way.

In what way? Giving a player an option to move if they want?

          Of course we can.

This place is full of people complaining about one thing or another.
          Oh I don't know.

And people complaining about other people complaining all the time.

Yeah, pretty poor excuse to have a pop at the club/manager/anyone.

If you told your player before terms were agreed wouldn't that be tapping up your own player on behalf of the interested party?

@IHMU4EVA: Just told the missus that I want to shag the next door neighbour. But if she says no then I want our relationship to stay intact. #Reina

Of course. I hope we lodge an official complaint about ourselves, maybe even seek compensation from us.

In other words, no. The clubs are allowed to talk to each other. The player and the prospective buyer aren't.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

hard to feel sorry for him when hes moaning about the club negotiating behind his back when he would of been off like a shot if barca had come in for him
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

At least it confirms that he didn't want to leave (unless to Barcelona) so a loan deal was the best we could get if we didn't want him on the books after buying Mignolet.

So the earlier charge of the club being incompetent for letting him go on loan was without any foundation.

                                Vwoosh!

I wasn't insinuating we broke any rules you daft pillock, just that if we had have told him, as he wanted, it would be just doing what the tapping up rules are there to prevent.

i.e., whilst not against any rules, it would be a silly thing to do.
