That's nothing. He calls Kuyt at least twice a day.
      Oh I don't know.

He must ring Aqua-man quite regularly too now that they're in the same country?

              Nahhhh

Pepe didn't know anything about anything until he found out we'd agreed a loan deal with Napoli. Honest

                A wild guess.

Rodgers would move to Barcelona if he got the chance as most of our players.

When you act the way we did then we will get a reputation that we are a very difficult club to deal with. That means that we will get it even more difficult to sign top class players.

Most of you think that it is ok to do a deal with a club without informing the player and his agent what is going on. I don't.

Players will be pissed off and leave if the club do things like that. Why? The players won't know if the club make a deal behind their backs.

Reina would never in a million years mentioned the things he did if it wasn't very serious.

He isn't that type of person.

You know he's discussed moves with other clubs on a few different occasions since he's been here Arn?

Sorry but I support LFC not Pepe Reina or any other player. LFC mate.

You can keep your conspiracy theories as far as I'm concerned.

He discussed a move to Arsenal when we had Roy as manager. A manager that wasn't exactly happy when he wanted to pass the ball.

Hoooooofffff it. That was what Roy wanted.

I can 100% understand that he started to look at Arsenal as an option back then but he decided to stay.

Arsenal is the only club together with Barcelona that Reina have considered allegedly.

Atletico was linked a few years ago when we had Roy as manager.

I think it's fair to believe that Reina is a reasonably loyal individual, despite his flirting with Barcelona but based on eight years with us and a willingness to stay despite a trophy drought. (Yes I know he's handsomely paid too but I doubt he'd be in the poor house if he'd have moved somewhere else.)

And I agree that what on the surface is a fairly minor quibble (to paraphrase, "I accept decisions have to be made but I wish they'd informed me, that's all") might well suggest stronger disillusion underneath.

What we can't say is whether his expressed disappointment and our inferences of a deeper dismay reveal a more widely held view and a bigger problem or whether it's just his own personal psychodrama playing out in public.

In other words, Arn, maybe it's just his personal reaction to being replaced and/or forced out. I see no credible evidence, or even a vaguely realistic narrative, that says it's anything other than a fallout between a player who is no longer wanted (rightly or wrongly, but that's irrelevant here) and one or more individuals in the club hierarchy (my own guess is Rodgers).
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Arn, so it's okay for a player to engineer a move without his club knowing but when the club do something remotely like that it's unacceptable?

It's modern football. If players want to do it, don't piss and moan when it happens to them

Reina was a great player for us. He stuck around in our sh*t spell (but was also paid handsomely for it).

I wish he'd just said a normal goodbye without the other stuff because at the end of the day, he's still only going on loan. It's a shame that every little thing for the club just seems to turn into a soap opera nowadays

It's certainly not OK to do a deal without informing the player. That wouldn't just be immoral that would be illegal and the deal wouldn't stand, they're not slaves.

However it's more than likely standard practice to come to an agreement in principle before involving the player in the discussions. There's no point unsettling them until you know it's worth going through with it.

I really don't see any foul.

Indeed. Very disappointing to see him sour his goodbye note airing personal frustrations in public like that.

                              Irrelevant and divisive.

Just putting it down to a moment of madness but and not holding it against him.

Is it just the players that Rafa signed that can do absolutely no wrong in your eyes? Or is it ANYONE that has potential beef with the club? I'm just trying to see your angle. Do you dislike everything about the club, or is it solely that Rafa isn't here any more?

It's getting a bit boring Arn. You're harmless, but give it a rest eh?
We know, you're still morbidly depressed that Rafa got sacked. We get it. Life goes on, the club has been around for 130 years, and it will continue long after Rafa and anyone that has ever had anything to do with him has retired. You can't keep this up, its not healthy
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
