Same here. Everyone but Achterberg has been removed from the site who isn't supposed to be there.

        Must still be there.

Pepe clearly does much better when valero is here

Pepe doesn't need coaching, he needs motivation. Bring in a decent back-up goalkeeper to actually challenge him and he will get his hunger back.

I think it is coaching. There may be a hunger issue too but good coaching makes a huge difference

Every keeper needs coaching, it's naive to think otherwise.

Yeah Achterberg is still here, saw him in our dugout yesterday.

We do need to look at the situation though, I don't know what's wrong with Pepe at the moment, well, over the last season or two.

It's an issue. He used to be one of the best around, now he's meh.

I thought he was very good under pressure with the ball at his feet. There were a handful or hospital passes and he dealt with them all well. He's a great keeper to play in our new system, and hopefully once we've mastered it we'll be restricting the number of shots/crosses he has to deal with, thus nullifying his weaknesses.

He could definitely do with being put under pressure by a decent number 2 (!!!).

His place is pretty much guaranteed as we have no back up and subconciously perhaps that results in him being a bit too relaxed about his position within the team.

Yeah I think he's too comfortable. A bit like Alonso was getting before the Barry saga.

He needs to step it back up otherwise we need to think about a replacement.

those being the goalkeeping attributes of saving shots and catching crosses? so the idea is to have a system whereby he doesn't need to worry about anything but playing as a sweeper? Mmmmm modern football is bizarre.

He was solid against Hearts and even though he probably shouldn't have came off his line for that cross yesterday I don't think it would have been a problem if Skrtle hadn't glanced it.

Pepe will have a great season, he knows he needs to step it up and Im confident he will
