Yes it's plain to see he's not been at his best, motivation and maybe disillusionment at LFC's continuing failure to improve on and off the pitch possibly playing a part.
if this were the case, i'd expect to hear some "ready for a new challenge" bollocks coming from him, but it's hard to imagine isn't it?

    it would be shocking.

Not that anyone wants Reina gone but there are some excellent keepers out there at the moment.

Vorm and Krull in the premier league. Some great German keepers around to... Leno,Stegen,Adler.

I dispute the claims that he's a liability though. Think his below par form, especially at shot stopping has been because we're setting up differently defensively, which has left him exposed. He's always been a bit average at corners, always flapping at the odd cross.
        Are we winning?

Anyway, I have faith in him and am confident he will reach his old level again very soon. With Lucas protecting the back 4 and the way the team was set up means Pepe will not have to do much hopefully, but when called upon he showed on Saturday he can pull it off.
Hopefully he can get back to his best for us

His shot stopping was never great but the way we set up under Rafa meant that it didn't matter, the 'sweeper keeper' role meant he cleared danger before the opposition had a shot on goal. Since Rafa left we haven't played this type of system and his form has suffered. I think that system could work under Rodgers but we need to know if he wants to play that way, if so then there's probably no-one better to play it. But if we aren't playing that way then shot stopping becomes alot more important, in that case we need to look elsewhere IMO.

Embarrassing that someone actually put that **** together.

i guess you're going to concede more if the people in front of you aren't playing well, and if you have less to do it's generally better for a keeper, but the doubt i have on his form is on a purely mechanical level. i'm not really certain how influenced by what goes on with other people his inability to make fairly straightforward saves for a keeper of his stature is.

I don't really understand why we wouldn't/can't play a sweeper keeper if Rodgers wants us to push up the pitch and press high etc. I know at the same time he wants us to build from the back and have players available for a short pass from Pepe, but surely Pepe can do the sweeper keeper thing.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

There isn't any doubt he's been off form.

But Gerrad went through a similar phase, after Bodge, Kenny, Now BR, it's been a mess.

I just hope the stability under BR, will make the whole side more consistent.
