His performance earned him his current contract but it is also true that he has been on decline for quite sometime now.

On that basis it's understandable that the club could be looking for other options and most goalkeepers, with the exception of few world class ones, would dictate lower wages than Pepe.

Only difference he is or should be approaching his prime and those 2 already passed their peak.

I only had to look back to the previous page to find examples. Plus he has been getting stick regularly in the match threads.

With regards to gerrard and Carra as far as i am concerned they have both earned their current contracts and wages they currently picked up. Its true that Jamie isn't playing much but after his years at the club this last big contract is deserved and if he wants to stay beyond his current deal then he will have to take a pay cut. The same with gerrard. Their current contracts and wages are deserved.

Hmm, so you're saying he's off then. Aaaaaaarghhhh!

Ah, changed your mind, eh. Very wise.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

No, and I don't want home to go. I am just saying it wouldn't make sense to sell him in this window. Or IMO to sell him at all

First Casemore, now Assassin. The doubters are being won over, one by one.

He's been getting stick as you put it probably due to the drop in form from the level he'd been playing at previously.

I get the impression that his detractors are of the opinion that his 'decline' is more permanent than a drop in form.

well unless he turns it around it will be a permanent decline, up to him to change that around, I think he can do it but he needs to start doing so

He did yesterday. Now he needs to continue it.
