My thought exactly and I'm sure that'd be Rodgers' first choice but he'd be so expensive. Laudrup has made it clear that they won't allow players to be picked off.

I don't think a young, inexperienced 19/20 year old would be a good idea for the sort of system we're playing.

Still no word on what's going on with #Reina after his agent jetted in yesterday to discuss his future. #ominous #LFC

We'll end up with Brad Jones and Butland as backup.
        Are we winning?

Jones doing well hasn't helped. The owners probably think that selling Reina isn't the risk it was last season

If all of this is true, I think their policy of selling and getting ROI on players is wrong ultimately. Football is different to managing a business per se. There's always a risk that profits are not reinvested in the right player, as have been shown in the past. In the case of Reina, yeah his form has dipped a bit but he's still generally a top keeper, one of the best in the world. And it's such a crucial position.

Unless we get an amazing offer for Pepe, i.e. £20m min, there is no point even thinking about moving him on.

Rory Smith, on the Times webchat:

"I'd expect Reina to leave #LFC in the summer if I'm completely honest"
                And then...

"Reina in poor form for last 3 years. FSG want a younger, cheaper option. Butland an option but Ter Stegen far better signing"
                And also...

I think Ter Stegen better than Butland but i have no idea if LFC are looking at him.

Phenomenally good goalkeeper, the latest in a long line of decent Germanian keepers.

On the day before Christmas Eve in 2012, Ter Stegen's dog was hit by a car and ran away in shock. He and his girlfriend, Daniela, were unable to track the dog down and Ter Stegen published a note and photo of his pet on his Facebook page, asking his fans to spread the news. Hundreds of fans helped look for the dog and offered words of support and a few hours later, Ter Stegen posted an update to tell everyone that his dog has been found.

That's disgraceful to have such a profound lack of knowledge of European football.

                              Pffffft.

I did exactly the same a few weeks ago.

De Gea to Barcelona, Ter Stegen to Man Utd?

I've couldn't even make an educated guess as to upcoming goalkeepers, but I certainly hope we get this right, if true, obv.
