I was recently speaking to one of the regional managers from Lidl up here in scotland he said to me that they bring over a team of german workers to build and set up their big stores from top to bottom inside and out ready for opening in the space of just 2 weeks. They will work night and day then move on to the next project. Get a british team to do the job and it would take 10 weeks

It's so true, generally speaking, Germans ARE rightly known for being efficient and hard working, they get the job done well, with minimum fuss and faffing about. Likewise, eastern europeans DO work their arses off, while our lot are all about blagging, doing as little as possible, and getting away with it.
